As great a tool as design school can be, they can only prepare you for so much in four years. As any designer who has been working for a while knows, there is a ton of knowledge that doesn’t drop on you until after you’ve started working in “the real world.” In this episode, listen in as the gang goes over the things they know now, that they wish they knew then.

We also answer a new listener question regarding the different business types you can choose from when setting up your own design studio.

    Hi there,

I’m trying to use your Shutterstock promo code, but it is not working — says not valid. I contacted Shutterstock, but they told me to check with you all because they do not have that promo code in their system, currently.

    Thanks!

Hi Ryan, thanks for bringing that to my attention, and sorry for the delay. I alerted shutterstock, and it should be working now.

Hi, it would be really nice if the podcasts are downloadable :) probably a download button below it or something. More power to your site! :)

Hi, this is a really good podcast thanks! I think a lot of designers are nodding their heads and remembering al the things they had to go through! It’s great listening to the podcast as it reminds me that we are all just human going through the same motions. When you study they make it seem like Graphic design is this magical wonderful world! And then it’s hard to discover that it really isn’t! Keep on doing what you are doing it’s awesome!
